Three finalists selected to pitch their tech solutions at AGE-WELL’s national competition 

AGE-WELL is pleased to announce three finalists for the 2025 AGE-WELL National Impact Challenge: Implementing Change, a national pitch competition spotlighting startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with technology-based solutions for healthy aging. 

Taking place on October 23, 2025, at the AGE-WELL 10th Annual Conference in Montreal, Quebec, this national event is one of Canada’s most dynamic competitions for AgeTech innovators with solutions ready for real-world implementation.  

Finalists will pitch their innovations live to a panel of expert judges, showcasing how their product or service can positively impact older Canadians and/or caregivers. The winner will receive $20,000 in cash plus in-kind prizes, access to the AGE-WELL Innovation Studio, and resources to help drive real-world implementation. 

Meet the three finalists taking part in the 2025 AGE-WELL National Impact Challenge:

caregiVR is an immersive VR therapy platform for senior care. This safe, drug-free solution enhances resident well-being, eases dementia symptoms, reduces staff burnout, and makes care more fun for all involved. Root & Seed harnesses the age-old power of storytelling to connect generations over family stories, traditions and heritage for safekeeping. Once squarely focused on families, Root & Seed has expanded to help meaningfully connect caregivers and elders with Kinkeeper Training using intuitive physical and digital tools benefitting relationships, elder health and wellness with home care partner Just Like Family. Watch Root & Seed’s application video submission here.

WeCare Dynamics is a cloud-based health service that provides continuous monitoring of vital signs and wellness indicators without wearables or cameras. Using mmWave radar and AI, it promotes independence and dignity while helping manage chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and frailty.
